Ashley and Gwendolyn Rocks

Shona is a very good instructor. She goes through each step thoroughly and if you still have any questions, answers you pretty quickly. All her soap making courses has helped with clarified a lot of things that books where confusing.
Zoe Reeves

The course was amazing. I learned so much about it, and I’ll keep going with Shona’s courses because she was clear, detailed and concise.
Fabrice MOUVEAU

Very detailed. I enrolled in other courses and I see the big difference in content. Thank you so much Shona for putting so much emphasis on safety protocols and explaining why a particular equipment must be used instead of another. I already knew this is the best course for soap making and I was right!
Camille

Shona is a very great instructor and informative in each class she teach. I enjoy her classes very much and I learn a lot from her as she explains everything and also provide resources to refer to for your understanding.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Course

Q. What soap making method is used in this course?

A. This course covers the cold process soap making method.

Q. In the course do you show how to make soap using the hot process method or melt and pour soap making?

A. No. This course is focused on teaching you how to make soap using the cold process soap making method. If you are interested in learning how to make soap using either the hot process, or melt and pour soap making methods then please check my other courses where I cover these methods in detail.

Q. Can I add milk to my soap?

A. You can add milk to your soap, but that subject is not covered in this course, as I want you to master the basics first.

Q. Is this method of soap making suitable for children?

A. Some people allow their children to do soap making, however, that is usually using the Melt and Pour method. The lye used in cold process soap making is caustic and will burn the skin, so I would not recommend children or animals to be around while soap making.

Q. Does this course teach how to make soap without lye?

A. No, you cannot make soap from scratch without using lye. All soap-making methods use lye, even melt and pour soap, where the soap base has been made using lye. If you didn’t have lye involved in the process then you would be left with just oils and water, and NO soap.

Q. Can I download the videos?
A. No, but you can stream them whenever you want.
